GP - Mixed Billing | DPA | MM1 | Northern Perth WA
- AUD $250,000 – $500,000 per year
- Australia, Western Australia
- Permanent
A well-established GP-owned practice in Perth's northern coastal suburbs is looking to welcome a UK-trained GP to the team. This is a role within a larger healthcare group — three GP clinics, a skin cancer centre, and an urgent care centre — offering genuine variety and the option to diversify your clinical work beyond standard GP consulting.
Location & registration status
- Suburb: Northern Perth WA
- DPA status: DPA-approved (Medicare provider number available from day one)
- MMM classification: MM1
This suburb sits on Perth's northern coastal strip, around 35km north of the CBD and a short drive to some of WA's best beaches. The area is a popular choice for families — strong schools, established amenities, direct train access into central Perth, and a lifestyle that blends suburban convenience with coastal living. Perth itself offers world-class weather, a lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne, and easy access to wine country, national parks, and the Indian Ocean. Property in the northern suburbs is substantially more affordable than comparable Sydney or Melbourne catchments.
About the practice
The practice is independent and doctor-owned, with a friendly multidisciplinary team that includes a number of UK-trained clinicians and UK-origin staff — a soft landing if you're new to Australian general practice. The patient demographic is mixed and the expected workload sits around 3–4 patients per hour, giving you time to practise thorough medicine.
The wider group also runs a skin cancer centre (fully private) and an urgent care centre, with flexibility for GPs to pick up additional shifts at the urgent care clinic if they want to broaden their scope. There's particular interest in candidates with dermatology or skin cancer experience who would be suited to sessional work at the skin clinic alongside their GP role.
Package & earnings
- 65/35 billing split in your favour (service charge 35%)
- Relocation support up to AUD $20,000, tailored to individual circumstances
- Option to pick up additional shifts at the group's urgent care centre
- Pathway for skin-experienced GPs to work sessionally at the private skin cancer centre
- Full-time or part-time considered
Billing model
Mixed billing — a blend of private fees and bulk billing across the patient base.
Visa & AHPRA support
Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway depending on your credentials) and visa sponsorship — typically the Skills in Demand visa, with a clear PR pathway. Our team has guided many UK GPs through this exact transition and will handle the heavy lifting on paperwork, timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.
Who we're looking for
- UK-trained GP with MRCGP (or working toward CCT — we can advise on timing)
- Dermatology or skin cancer experience desirable but not essential
- Interest in varied clinical work — standard GP, urgent care, and/or skin medicine
- Open to relocating to Perth and embracing the WA lifestyle
Next steps
Send your CV to aus@bdiresourcing.com or get in touch to schedule a call with our team — we'll talk through the role, the AHPRA pathway, visa options, and what life actually looks like once you're here.
Even if you're still a year or two away from relocating, it's worth an early conversation — the AHPRA and visa process takes time to do properly.
