GP - Bulk Billing | DPA | MM1 | South East Perth WA

GP-09
  • AUD $250,000 – $400,000 per year
  • Australia, Western Australia
  • Permanent

An established bulk-billing practice in Perth's south-east is looking to welcome a UK-trained GP to a busy, diverse community role. The practice is part of a larger healthcare group, fully accredited, and led by a solo GP who trained and practised in the UK for over a decade — meaning a genuinely supportive transition for another UK GP making the move.

Location & registration status

  • Suburb: Langford, South East Perth WA
  • DPA status: DPA-approved (Medicare provider number available from day one)
  • MMM classification: MM1

Langford is an established suburb in Perth's south-eastern corridor, around 15km from the CBD, with direct road and public transport links into central Perth. The area is culturally diverse, family-oriented, and well-served by schools, amenities, and parkland. Perth itself offers world-class weather, a lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne, and genuine outdoor lifestyle — the Swan Valley wine region, the Indian Ocean, and Rottnest Island all within easy reach. Property across Perth is substantially more affordable than comparable eastern-state capitals.

About the practice

The clinic is fully accredited — the most recent inspection returned zero recommendations, which is unusual and reflects the standard of the operation. The lead GP is highly experienced across general practice, aesthetics, minor procedures, and skin cancer medicine, and is looking to bring in a second GP to share the clinical load. Patient demand is strong — expect to be busy from day one, with the lead GP typically seeing 40+ patients per day.

There's a particular clinical opportunity around women's health and cervical screening — the practice currently refers these externally and would welcome a GP who can deliver this care in-house. Given the ethnic diversity of the patient base, additional language skills (Urdu, Arabic, Hindi) would be genuinely valuable, though not essential.

Supporting clinical staff includes a practice nurse and three administrative team members. The practice does not use online appointments, operating instead on phone-based booking and continuity-driven care.

Package & earnings

  • 70/30 billing split in your favour (30% service fee)
  • 12.5% quarterly bulk billing incentive, with 6.5% paid directly to the GP
  • Income guarantee available for the first 3 months while you settle in
  • Expect consistent high patient volume — you will be busy from day one
  • Full-time or part-time considered

Billing model

Bulk billing — straightforward Medicare-based model, with the quarterly incentive structure above.

Visa & AHPRA support

Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway depending on your credentials) and 482 visa sponsorship, with a clear PR pathway. The lead GP trained and practised in the UK himself for 12 years, so there's genuine personal understanding of the transition from NHS to Australian general practice. Our team will handle the heavy lifting on paperwork, timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.

Who we're looking for

  • UK-trained GP with MRCGP (or working toward CCT — we can advise on timing)
  • Interest in women's health and cervical screening particularly welcomed
  • Urdu, Arabic, or Hindi language skills valuable given the patient demographic
  • Comfortable with a busy, high-volume bulk billing caseload
  • Open to relocating to Perth and embracing the WA lifestyle

Next steps

Send your CV to aus@bdiresourcing.com or get in touch to schedule a call with our team — we'll talk through the role, the AHPRA pathway, visa options, and what life actually looks like once you're here.

Even if you're still a year or two away from relocating, it's worth an early conversation — the AHPRA and visa process takes time to do properly.
