GP - Mixed Billing | DPA | MM1 | Sunshine Coast QLD

A large, well-resourced mixed-billing practice in the heart of Noosa on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is looking to welcome up to two UK-trained GPs to its team. This is one of the more genuinely lifestyle-driven roles we recruit for — 7-day-a-week clinical team, 12+ GPs on site, and all within walking distance of some of Australia's best beaches.

This location needs little introduction — consistently ranked among Australia's top coastal destinations, with world-class beaches, the Noosa Everglades, Noosa National Park, and a food and wine scene that punches well above its weight. Brisbane is around 90 minutes south by road, and the Sunshine Coast Airport is 30 minutes away with domestic connections across Australia. This is a genuine "relocate the family and never look back" posting — excellent schools, outdoor living, and a lifestyle that's hard to replicate anywhere else.

About the practice

The clinic is part of a national healthcare network operating many clinics across Australia, with the support infrastructure of a large group combined with the day-to-day feel of a full-service local practice. The team is 12+ GPs strong, supported by nursing and allied health colleagues, and open 7 days a week — so roster flexibility is genuine rather than theoretical.

The group has invested significantly in supporting UK-trained GPs and has supervision capacity for ESP (Expedited Specialist Pathway) candidates — a real advantage given the shortage of ESP-ready supervisors in Australia. Several UK doctors are already in post or working through the pathway with the group.

Expected patient pace sits at around 4 patients per hour once you're established — comfortable, continuity-focused work rather than high-volume throughput.

Package & earnings

• 65/35 billing split for clinic work, 75/25 for Urgent Care
• AUD $160/hr income guarantee for the first 3 months while you build your patient base
• Relocation package of AUD $36,000 across two years (timing negotiable, dependent on contracted hours — e.g. 30hrs/week vs 38hrs/week)
• Full-time or part-time considered

Billing model

Mixed billing — a blend of private fees and bulk billing across the patient base.

Visa & AHPRA support

Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway — with supervision capacity confirmed for ESP candidates) and visa sponsorship, with a clear PR pathway. The group has direct experience supporting UK GPs through the process. Our team will handle the heavy lifting on paperwork, timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.

Who we're looking for

• UK-trained GP with MRCGP (or working toward CCT — we can advise on timing)
• Suited to both fellowed GPs and those needing ESP supervision
• No specific sub-specialty required — broad-scope general practice
• Comfortable in a larger, well-supported clinical environment
• Open to relocating to Queensland and embracing the Sunshine Coast lifestyle
