GP - Mixed Billing | DPA | MM1 | South East Perth WA
- AUD $250,000 – $500,000 per year
- Australia, Western Australia
- Permanent
A well-established mixed-billing family practice in Perth's south-eastern suburbs is looking to welcome a UK-trained GP to the team. The clinic has been in its current ownership for over a decade, is fully accredited, and is an active GP training practice — offering a well-run, supportive environment for another GP making the move to Australia.
Location & registration status
- Suburb: South East Perth WA
- DPA status: DPA-approved (Medicare provider number available from day one)
- MMM classification: MM1
This suburb sits in Perth's south-eastern corridor, around 15km from the CBD, with direct train and road access into central Perth. The area has evolved significantly over the past decade — once a lower-priced suburb, it's now attracting young families drawn by its affordability, good schools, and easy access to the city. Perth itself offers world-class weather, a lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne, and genuine outdoor lifestyle — the Swan Valley wine region, the Indian Ocean, and Rottnest Island all within easy reach. Property across the southern suburbs is meaningfully more affordable than comparable eastern-state catchments.
About the practice
The practice has been established in the community for 25 years, with the current ownership in place for over a decade. The team currently includes three vocationally-trained GPs and a registrar, supported by practice nurses and a friendly administration team. The clinic is AGPAL accredited and is a WAGPET-accredited GP training practice — a marker of clinical quality and a useful environment for GPs who enjoy teaching or want to develop that side of their practice.
Patient demographics are broad — a mix of young families, established patients, and a meaningful elderly caseload — so the clinical work is genuinely varied. Typical workload sits around 35–40 patients per day, with consultations billed at approximately $70 per patient. The practice has previously recruited UK GPs (a husband-and-wife team from Scotland) who stayed for several years before moving on to establish their own practice.
Package & earnings
- 70/30 to 75/25 billing split in your favour (service fee 25–30%, negotiable for the right candidate)
- Mixed billing model, typically 35–40 patients per day at ~$70 per consultation
- 3-month income guarantee while you build your patient base
- Relocation support negotiable
- Full-time or part-time considered
Billing model
Mixed billing — a blend of private fees and bulk billing across the patient base.
Visa & AHPRA support
Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway depending on your credentials) and 482 visa sponsorship, with a clear PR pathway. The practice has previously supported UK GPs through the registration and relocation process. Our team will handle the heavy lifting on paperwork, timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.
Who we're looking for
- UK-trained GP with MRCGP or equivalent (CCT holders welcomed)

- Interest in GP training or teaching welcomed given the practice's training accreditation
- Open to relocating to Perth and embracing the WA lifestyle
Next steps
Send your CV to aus@bdiresourcing.com or get in touch to schedule a call with our team — we'll talk through the role, the AHPRA pathway, visa options, and what life actually looks like once you're here.
Even if you're still a year or two away from relocating, it's worth an early conversation — the AHPRA and visa process takes time to do properly.
