Salary & Employment Terms

  • Your choice of model: an income split (typically 70/30) or a guaranteed monthly salary — realistic earnings CAD $280,000–300,000 in year one, rising to $350,000–400,000 in year two and $450,000–500,000 thereafter
  • Location: Canada, Ontario (multiple sites)

Location & Registration Status

City / Region: Clinics right across the Greater Toronto Area corridor and beyond — spanning the western GTA, Niagara, Ottawa and London, Ontario. With a site roughly every 20 minutes, you're matched to a location near where you want to live.

Registration pathway: College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), via the streamlined route for UK-trained family physicians — with your CCT/MRCGP you qualify without further examination, PRA, or supervision.

Billing number: OHIP billing number available on licensure.

Ontario offers excellent earning potential with none of the daily-cap or delayed-payment issues seen in some other provinces or the US — you're paid promptly and by the book.

About the Practice Group

Our client is a physician-owned and operated network built over 14 years to 40+ active sites and 240+ physicians across Ontario — and growing, with around 18 further sites opening in the next 12 months. Founded and led by a practising MD, the group is deliberately different from the large corporates: the founder deals with every doctor personally, so support never gets lost. Doctors join the team and grow with the group — some later buy in as shareholders while remaining service providers. (Network name shared with shortlisted candidates.)

About the Clinics

Established: 14 years

Team: 240+ physicians across 40+ sites

Clinical Scope

  • Family medicine (rostered patients) + walk-in
  • Internal medicine, cardiology, paediatrics, OB/GYN, psychiatry (by location)
  • On-site diagnostics, pharmacy, and medical aesthetics
  • Support for your own clinical interests (women's health, joint injections, aesthetics) — equipment and supplies provided

Operating Hours: ~40–45 hours per week. No on-call and no weekend requirement (roughly one weekend every six weeks if part of the family health group).

“Patients waiting daily at every site — you join an established, high-volume clinic and build your roster from a full walk-in stream, never from an empty room.”

Package & Earnings

  • Payment model: Your choice — income split (~70/30) or a monthly/straight salary
  • Overhead split: ~70/30, with all administration handled for you — support staff review labs and imaging, chase results, manage refills, book follow-ups
  • Income guarantee: On the salary model, a guaranteed minimum of CAD $15,000–18,000/month for the first three months
  • Benefits: Full health, dental and medical benefits for you and your family
  • Banking perk: A bank line of credit of ~CAD $250,000–500,000 arranged for new doctors
  • Signing / relocation incentive: [To confirm] — full in-house relocation support included (see below)
  • Contract: Three-year agreement (runs parallel to your work permit)
  • Flexibility: Full-time; choose your model and a site near your family/community

Registration & Immigration Support

The group provides full in-house support end to end — immigration consultants, work-permit sponsorship (LMIA / C10), realtors for housing, help sourcing a vehicle, and set-up of your professional corporation, bank account and accountancy. New arrivals are personally introduced to other UK physicians already in the network and given local community guidance so the whole family settles well.

On the clinical side, CPSO registration for UK-trained GPs is refreshingly straightforward — with your CCT and MRCGP you qualify via the streamlined comparable-jurisdiction route (no PRA, exams or supervision) — and BDI manages the licensing process with you. From there, we guide you through to permanent residence (family physicians fall under NOC 31102 for category-based Express Entry healthcare draws, with provincial physician streams as a further route).

Who We're Looking For

  • A UK-trained family physician with MRCGP and CCT (or an equivalent internationally-trained GP eligible for CPSO registration)
  • A patient-centred clinician with a genuinely good bedside manner — in Ontario the patient chooses you, so relationships matter
  • Keen to build and own a growing roster, and to convert walk-ins into long-term patients
  • Relocation-ready, and clear on whether the priority is maximising income (a busier site) or lifestyle (a quieter one) — the group will match you accordingly
