The NHS Foundation Trust in the East Midlands, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join its dynamic Emergency Department team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician or a newly qualified consultant to take on a substantive post in a modern, well-equipped hospital that is widely recognised for its quality of care and strong clinical leadership.

About the Role

You will join a team of experienced consultants and be provided with a 10PA job plan, including 2.5 SPA time to support clinical development, research, and departmental service improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Covering shifts across all Emergency Department areas within the Trust
  • Leading on clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Teaching and mentoring junior medical staff to maintain the department’s high clinical standards
  • Supporting the development of the department through innovation and continuous improvement
  • Upholding and promoting the Trust’s core values of care, respect, teamwork, innovation, and responsibility

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Completion of CCT in Emergency Medicine, or within 6 months of CCT
  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCEM or equivalent qualifications
