BDI Resourcing are pleased to be working with this wonderful teaching hospital to recruit a consultant community pediatrician to join their supportive team.

There is a dedicated leadership training programme in the trust for development of new consultant with strong ethos around coaching and mentoring.

Main Duties:

You will be predominately responsible for community based paediatric care within the Blackpool area.

You will cover a catchment of schools within the local area. You’ll work with children in school age community clinics, as well accepting referrals from the neurodevelopmental team.

You’ll also attend the child developmental centre twice a week, contributing to the pre-school age service and therefore offering a varied clinical caseload as part of this exciting new opportunity.

Time is offered for patient related communication, discussion, and administration, as well as time for discussion panels and MDT. This will involve evaluation of a case load of new and follow up patients within a multidisciplinary fashion.

Catering to the healthcare needs of approximately half a million individuals in the local region, the hospital offers a comprehensive array of acute clinical services. You'll encounter a wide range of medical cases and procedures, facilitating your professional growth. As an international medical graduate, you'll be embraced by the team as a valuable addition. Engaging in this international setting will enable you to glean insights from colleagues with a wide array of medical expertise and experiences.

The location:

Living in the North West as an international medical graduate (IMG) offers a lot of advantages. Renowned for its cultural diversity, the region embraces individuals from all backgrounds. The area also has an exceptionally low cost of living compared to other parts of England, making it an attractive choice, especially for doctors with families relying on a single income.
