What to expect from

Oncology Jobs in the NHS

As an IMG or UK based Oncology Doctor you will have your choice of jobs. GMC Registration is the main requirement and a postgraduate qualification like MRCP or FRCR Oncology will help you secure a Senior Registrar (ST3+) or Specialty Doctor post. If you’re a Consultant then you may have even more options as these are the most in demand across the NHS.

You should be flexible in your job search. Whilst jobs in leading cancer centres may be most appealing they are also the most competitive so gaining experience in an equally reputable hospital elsewhere in the NHS might be a better entry point for some doctors – they often come with better offers too!
