About the Role
Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a meaningful leadership role within a comprehensive mental health service? NSW Health invites experienced psychiatrists and advanced trainees nearing fellowship to contribute to high-quality public mental health care across NSW.
As a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry, you’ll:
Provide expert psychiatric care across inpatient, community and recovery services for diverse patient groups.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including medical, nursing, allied health and support staff.
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees.
Contribute to service development, quality improvement and professional education.
Engage with a service committed to compassionate, person-centred care.

Selection Criteria
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent.
Specialist registration or eligibility with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated experience in psychiatric practice across relevant clinical settings.
Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience or interest in sub-specialty areas such as child & adolescent psychiatry, neuropsychiatry or consultation-liaison psychiatry (vacancies may vary).
Commitment to professional development, teaching and research.
