BDI Resourcing is proud to partner with a Rural Referral Hospital to offer an exciting dual-sector Staff Specialist Anaesthetist position. This is an outstanding opportunity to balance your professional goals with a rewarding regional lifestyle.
Main Duties:
You will provide high-quality anaesthetic services across both public and private hospitals.
- Work alongside a cohesive and collaborative anaesthesia team consisting of:
- 15 Consultants
- 1 Provisional Fellow
- 5 Registrars / Advanced Trainees
- Provide care for a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopaedics, trauma, high-acuity obstetrics, ICU, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, robotic surgery, and dental anaesthesia.
- Participate in a 1-in-16 on-call model, with a second on-call option available for added flexibility.
- Benefit from dedicated administrative and billing support.
- Engage in non-clinical work with opportunities for teaching, audits, and continuing education, including access to a 12-month education grant.
The Hospital:
- The largest healthcare facility in NSW outside of Sydney, Wollongong, and Newcastle, serving a catchment area of 175,000.
- 350 treatment spaces and 8 modern operating theatres.
- Operates as a Level 3 regional trauma centre.

Requirements:
To apply for this role, you will need:
- Primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or eligibility via an overseas-trained specialist pathway.
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality anaesthetic care.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, teaching, and communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
