The department are currently searching for doctors who are seeking to further their career and gain specialist registration through the CESR program. The trust is offering an initial 12-month contract to ensure the new member of the team can settle, before being progressed onto the department led CESR program for Emergency Medicine doctors.  

This post is perfect for a doctor looking to work through the CESR program alongside a panel of consultants who are well trained in supporting doctors. The department itself currently has several doctors going through the CESR pathway and have a rich history of supporting career development. The opportunity to rotate through the various departments within the trust offer ample support, both clinically and non-clinically.

The Job

The successful applicant will join the department on the middle grade rota, with the opportunity to take the lead role throughout the night shifts while consultants are on call. During the initial 12-month period, you will be expected to settle into the department and become a dependable member of the team. The following is also expected:

  • Clinical focus day to day.
  • Expected to support the consultants in the running of the department.
  • Participate in departmental audit and quality improvement projects.
  • Further your career by stepping onto the trust supported CESR program.

The Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant post graduate qualifications such as the MRCEM qualification.
  • GMC registration in full.
  • 12 months NHS experience is required
  • ALS certificate in date
