About the Role
The Hospital is seeking three enthusiastic and motivated Senior House Officers (SHOs) in General Medicine to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical officer to further develop clinical skills while working in a supportive and well-structured environment.
As a Senior House Officer, you will provide high-quality medical care to inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of senior clinicians, while actively contributing to ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings. This role also offers opportunities for exposure to acute and chronic medical conditions across a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, management, and care planning for patients under the guidance of Registrars and Consultants.
- Participate in daily ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and acute presentations.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health, and medical colleagues to deliver patient-centred care.
- Contribute to teaching and mentoring of junior medical staff and medical students.
- Participate in the after-hours and weekend roster as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, discharge planning, and handover of care.
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- MBBS-UK (or equivalent)
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate medical experience, including rotations in general medicine or acute care.
- Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
