We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced doctors to join this busy and supportive paediatric and neonatal service as Senior Clinical Fellows. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across General Paediatrics, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and Neonatology.

You will be part of a vibrant, multi-disciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care for children and neonates, as well as contributing to teaching, research, and service development.

Main Duties: 

  • Provide day-to-day care for children and neonates alongside consultants and the wider MDT.
  • Participate in ward rounds, paediatric and neonatal resuscitations, and acute emergency care.
  • Contribute to outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary meetings, and journal clubs.
  • Participate in the middle grade rota, covering general paediatrics, PED, and the neonatal unit (including out-of-hours).
  • Deliver teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
  • Take part in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and guideline development.

The Hospital:

Our West London site offers modern facilities for inpatient, outpatient, day-case, and emergency paediatric care. Services are provided in dedicated children’s units including:

  • Inpatient Children’s Ward
  • Paediatric Short Stay Unit (<24-hour admissions)
  • Day Unit (day cases)
  • Dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department
  • Special Care Baby Unit

The hospital is a teaching centre with strong links to a leading London medical school, providing excellent opportunities for professional development.

You will have an allocated consultant educational supervisor, access to regular departmental teaching (including simulation), and opportunities to develop subspecialty interests. Support is available for career progression, including applications for training posts or CESR.

Requirements:

To apply for this position, you will need the following:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCPCH
  • At least 2 years’ experience in inpatient paediatrics.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in tertiary-level neonatal intensive care.
  • NLS/APLS certification.
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience working at middle grade level in the NHS.
