The department are seeking enthusiastic doctors to join the motivated Emergency Medicine team in the East of England. The district general hospital provides services to multiple counties in the local area spanning a wide range of specialisms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any doctors seeking a new challenge within the NHS in a hospital offering a number of training and research prospects.

The Job

The typical rota will be 40 hours per week, with 20% being allocated to non-clinical time for the pursuit of specialist interests. This includes support for the CESR programme, clinical research, departmental teaching and other possible interests. Staff are entitled to annual leave with full pay of 216 hours (rising to 256 following five years of NHS service). Daily responsibilities include:

  • To provide a comprehensive clinical service to the Emergency department
  • To cover a full shift roster in the Emergency Department with a balanced mix of earlies, lates and nights
  • Active participation in teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other healthcare professionals

The Requirements

The following requirements must be met to be considered for this role:

  • GMC full registration
  • 3 years experience in Emergency Medicine
  • NHS experience or MRCEM certification
