Senior Clinical Fellow - Paediatrics & Neonates

This is an exciting opportunity for any doctor with Paediatric and Neonatal experience at registrar level within the NHS to join a highly regarded Trust in an incredibly attractive part of the country. The department is made up of a General Paediatric ward, short stay unit, and level 2 LNU.
You will treat a wide range of cases across the diverse population, allowing opportunities for CESR/Portfolio Pathway competency sign off. They’re a highly supportive department, offering access to teaching, CPD, QIP/Audit involvement, and MDT meetings, all in a welcoming and multicultural environment.
Main Duties:
- Cover shifts in the Paediatric ward, short stay department, and level 2 Neonatal unit (LNU)
- Contribute to Consultant-led ward rounds
- Works as part of the Tier 2 rota, working registrar on-calls
- Contribute to service development through Audit and QIPs, as well as teaching junior doctors
The Hospital:
The hospital itself has 500 beds and covers a broad scope of acute specialties. The paediatric and short stay wards have combined 40 beds, with the LNU being home to 20 cots. The various departments are often praised for their welcoming nature towards IMGs, and the mentorship they offer.
They’re focused on long term recruitment, supporting doctors who join their middle grade to become fully fledged consultants with the Trust. This is so successful due to their backing for doctors going through CESR, the opportunities available to explore subspecialty interests, and dedicated clinical supervisors.

Requirements:
To apply for this position, you will need the following:
- Full GMC registration with license to practice
- MRCPCH
- EPALS (or equivalent)
- NLS (or equivalent)
- Experience working as a registrar in General Paediatrics and level 2 Neonatology in the NHS
