I am recruiting on behalf of a high-performing, multi-site GP practice serving a patient population of approximately 85,000 across the BNSSG region. This well-established, forward-thinking organisation offers a fantastic opportunity for a General Practitioner to join a large, supportive multidisciplinary team delivering innovative and high-quality care.

The practice is partner-led, with over 300 staff members, and has recently expanded further within the area. It is known for its structured and collaborative working environment, continuous investment in its estate and services, and a strong focus on clinical development and wellbeing.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a newly qualified GP seeking excellent support and mentoring, or for an experienced GP looking to develop a specialist interest. You will be joining a modern, purpose-built site with excellent facilities and access to a wide range of professional development opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care
  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations
  • Undertake home visits where necessary
  • Participate in the duty/on-call rota (proportionate to sessional commitment)
  • Collaborate within the MDT for care planning and case management
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with local and national guidance
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits and protected learning
  • Contribute to the practice’s continuous improvement and innovation

Person Specification

Essential:

  • GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice or equivalent
  • Inclusion on or eligibility for a UK Medical Performers List
  • Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills
  • Commitment to team working, patient safety and high standards of care

Desirable:

  • MRCGP qualification
  • Experience in or desire to develop a specialist interest (e.g., dermatology, women’s health, minor surgery, mental health)
  • Understanding of primary care frameworks including QOF, GMS and PCNs
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary settings

  • UK professional registration required
