An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant Paediatric Radiologist to join a renowned NHS Trust in the East Midlands, offering a dynamic mix of clinical and teaching responsibilities across a highly specialised Children’s Hospital. With a view to a substantive appointment, this role suits a forward-thinking consultant who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and is passionate about paediatric imaging.

 Who We’re Looking For

  • GMC registered radiologists (or within 6 months of CCT)
  • FRCR or equivalent essential
  • Completed sub-specialty training in Paediatric Imaging preferred
  • Skilled in multimodality reporting (MRI, CT, US, PF, fluoroscopy)
  • Passion for education, audit, and service development

 The Department

  • Six consultant paediatric radiologists in post
  • Dedicated paediatric sonographers, radiographers, and assistants
  • Facilities include DR fluoroscopy, modern US suites, and integrated MRI/CT imaging
  • Robust clinical governance structure and audit participation
  • Comprehensive MDT and reporting infrastructure with home workstation options

Career Progression & CESR Support

  • 2 SPA PAs in year 1 (1.5 thereafter)
  • Mentorship in CESR application and NHS governance
  • Active participation in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates
  • Research opportunities via local academic partnerships
