A long-established general practice group in Adelaide's southern coastal suburbs is looking to welcome a UK-trained GP to the team. With more than four decades serving the local community and two day-and-night clinic sites, the group offers a settled, well-run environment — and a genuinely distinctive support package designed around the whole transition, not just the clinical role.

The location sits on Adelaide's southern coastline, around 40km from the CBD, with direct train access into central Adelaide. The area offers genuine beachside living at a fraction of Sydney or Melbourne prices — beaches on your doorstep, the McLaren Vale wine region 15 minutes inland, and the full set of family amenities. Adelaide itself consistently ranks among the world's most liveable cities, with a slower pace, excellent schools, short commutes, and meaningfully lower property prices than the eastern capitals.

About the practice

The group has served Adelaide's southern suburbs for over 40 years and operates two day-and-night clinics supported by an on-site pharmacy. Clinical scope is broad: women's health, antenatal and paediatric care, men's health, mental health, skin clinic and minor procedures, immunisations, pre-employment and WorkCover medicals. GPs work as independent practitioners with full access to the group's systems, facilities, and support infrastructure — freedom to build your own practice, backed by established operational support.

Package & earnings

• 70/30 billing split in your favour (30% service fee deducted fortnightly)
• No service fee for the first two months — retain 100% of your billings during this period
• Use of a company car for the first 2–3 weeks after arrival
• Access to the group's wealth advisers for business setup support
• Indemnity insurance discount via the group's broker: 80% off year one, 60% off year two, continued discounts thereafter
• Flexible consulting schedule — full-time or part-time considered
• Support with house inspections on your behalf (photos and feedback while you're still in the UK)

Billing model

Mixed billing — a blend of private fees and bulk billing across the patient base.

Visa & AHPRA support

Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway depending on your credentials) and 482 visa sponsorship nomination, with permanent residency sponsorship available after two years of service as part of the group's long-term commitment to its doctors and patients. Our team will handle the heavy lifting on paperwork, timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.

A note on relocation: the group does not offer a cash relocation allowance. Instead, the package focuses on long-term, personalised support — the insurance discounts, the company car on arrival, house-hunting assistance, wealth advice, and the PR pathway all sit in place of a one-off payment. Feedback from current GPs is that this structure is more valuable over the life of a role than a relocation lump sum, but it's worth understanding upfront.

• UK-trained GP with MRCGP (or working toward CCT — we can advise on timing)
• Comfortable working as an independent practitioner within a supported group structure
• Interest in broad-scope general practice — women's health, skin, mental health, procedural work
• Open to relocating to South Australia and embracing Adelaide's lifestyle
