GP - Mixed Billing | DPA | MM1 | Central Coast NSW

GP-37
  • AUD $250,000 – $500,000 per year
  • Australia, New South Wales
  • Permanent

A well-regarded mixed-billing family practice on the NSW Central Coast is looking to welcome a UK-trained GP to its team. The practice is part of a growing, family-friendly healthcare group built around GP autonomy and flexibility — with a strong track record of supporting UK-trained GPs through relocation and registration. This is a beachside lifestyle role within easy reach of both Sydney and Newcastle.

Location & registration status

  • Suburb: Central Coast NSW
  • DPA status: DPA-approved (Medicare provider number available from day one)
  • MMM classification: MM1

This suburb sits on the NSW Central Coast, roughly midway between Sydney and Newcastle — around 90 minutes from each by road or rail. This is genuine beachside living: the practice is minutes from the beach, with the relaxed coastal lifestyle the Central Coast is known for, while still being commutable to Sydney for those who want occasional city access. Housing is meaningfully more affordable than Sydney itself, schools are strong, and the area is popular with families drawn to the combination of coast, community, and connectivity. The Central Coast offers national parks, surf beaches, and a slower pace without the isolation of more remote postings.

About the practice

The clinic is part of a healthcare group founded in 2019 that has grown to more than 10 practices across Australia — entirely through word of mouth and reputation rather than aggressive acquisition. The group's philosophy is built around high GP autonomy, flexibility, and a genuinely family-friendly working culture, which makes it well-suited to UK GPs prioritising work-life balance alongside earnings.

This is a live vacancy with the group actively welcoming applications. Clinical work is broad family medicine, with the autonomy and flexibility that runs across all the group's sites — GPs have genuine control over how they structure their practice.

Package & earnings

  • Competitive billing split in your favour (negotiable for the right candidate, consistent with the group's standard terms)
  • Income guarantee available while you build your patient base (terms similar to the group's other sites — typically around AUD $180/hr for the first 3 months)
  • Relocation allowance available (typically around AUD $10,000)
  • 2-year contract
  • Mixed billing model
  • Full-time or part-time considered

Billing model

Mixed billing — a blend of private fees and bulk billing across the patient base.

Visa & AHPRA support

Full end-to-end support through AHPRA registration (Specialist or Expedited Specialist Pathway depending on your credentials) and visa sponsorship, with a clear pathway to permanent residency. The group has a strong track record of supporting UK-trained GPs through the registration and relocation process across its network. Our team will handle the heavy lifting on AHPRA paperwork, visa timelines, and ECFMG/EPIC verification where needed.

Who we're looking for

  • UK-trained GP with MRCGP (or working toward CCT — we can advise on timing)
  • Suited to both fellowed GPs and those needing ESP supervision
  • Interest in broad-scope family medicine with genuine autonomy over your practice
  • Comfortable with a 2-year commitment
  • Open to relocating to the NSW Central Coast and embracing beachside living within reach of Sydney and Newcastle

Next steps

Send your CV to aus@bdiresourcing.com or get in touch to schedule a call with our team — we'll talk through the role, the AHPRA pathway, visa options, and what life actually looks like once you're here.

Even if you're still a year or two away from relocating, it's worth an early conversation — the AHPRA and visa process takes time to do properly.
