 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist – or an experienced Consultant Radiologist with a desire to develop into breast radiology – to join a friendly and innovative Breast Centre team in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. The post is offered on a 10 PA basis, with part-time working fully supported and some home working available. Out-of-hours reporting is provided entirely by teleradiology, and there is currently no on-call commitment.

 This is a rare opportunity for a radiologist who wants genuine breadth: the Breast Centre is a purpose-built integrated unit covering both screening and symptomatic patients under one roof, within a wider department offering an unusually rich mix of general and subspecialist work for its size.

 Key Requirements

Essential

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Wide range of experience in general radiology
• On the Specialist Register, or within six months of the anticipated award of CCT at the time of interview
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multidisciplinary setting
• A willingness to support the training and supervision of radiology registrars

 Not yet on the Specialist Register? The board will consider a fixed-term consultant appointment, with full support to complete your CESR in post – including supported screening reads. This is an excellent route for experienced radiologists working towards the register.

Desirable

• A subspecialty interest in breast, or the desire to develop one – full departmental support offered
• Track record in audit and quality improvement
• Research or educational qualification
• Valid UK driving licence
