Consultant Radiologist - Nuclear Medicine

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Nuclear Medicine to join an integrated radiology service spanning two district hospitals in a predominantly rural region. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive diagnostic care across CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain films, PET-CT, and SPECT-CT. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient, high-quality nuclear medicine and general radiology services across multiple hospital sites.
• Participate in a flexible job plan with rotating site duties (currently 1:15 on-call, with plans to reduce as the team grows). 
• Benefit from remote reporting access and potential work-from-home arrangements. 
• Contribute to MDTs, service development, audit, governance, and teaching responsibilities. 

What You’ll Need

• FRCR (or equivalent) qualification
• GMC Specialist Registration (or eligibility within 6 months of CCT)
• Competence in nuclear medicine imaging, including SPECT-CT and PET-CT reporting
• NHS experience or equivalent subspecialist training and MDT engagement
• Strong commitment to clinical governance, service development, and collaborative working
