Consultant in Emergency Medicine

Pay range – £105,504 - £139,882

Essential Criteria

  • Must have current or previous UK or Irish experience at consultant level
  • Must hold CCT in Emergency Medicine or evidence of equivalent competency, such as CESR accreditation or have submitted CESR portfolio for review
  • Proven ability to manage the full spectrum of emergency presentations, including major trauma and paediatrics
  • Strong leadership, teamworking, and teaching skills

 

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join a forward-thinking Emergency Department within a leading NHS Trust in North Cumbria. This role offers the chance to work across multiple hospital sites in a region that provides a diverse clinical caseload, including major trauma, complex medical cases, and paediatric emergencies.

The successful consultant will play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency care while contributing to the continuous improvement and development of the service. The hospitals are fully engaged with national clinical standards and are actively involved in medical education, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
