- UK, London
- Permanent

Subspecialist Appointments | Teaching Hospitals & District General Hospitals | £105,504 – £139,882 + London Weighting + Relocation
We are partnering with several high-performing NHS Trusts across London to appoint experienced Consultant Radiologists into permanent and long-term fixed-term posts. These hospitals are looking for more than standard applicants - they are seeking radiologists with proven UK or equivalent experience, subspecialist training, and the ability to make a meaningful clinical impact from day one.
Who We’re Looking For
We are interested in hearing from radiologists who can demonstrate:
- NHS or UK-style experience, including observerships, clinical attachments, or fellowships
- Completion of FRCR and GMC registration (or eligibility)
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or advanced progress through the CESR pathway
- Strong cross-sectional diagnostic reporting and confident MDT participation
- Subspecialty fellowship or equivalent higher specialist training
You’ll be someone who thrives in collaborative settings, understands NHS demands, and brings an additional clinical or leadership strength to the table.
Current Subspecialist Priorities
We are particularly focused on three key service areas where demand is high, and NHS capacity is stretched. Trusts are looking for consultants who can bring specialist depth and drive service improvement:
Paediatric Radiology
Applicants must have experience across neonatal and paediatric imaging, including cranial and hip ultrasound, fluoroscopy (e.g. MCUG), and MRI/CT in both acute and outpatient settings. Familiarity with child protection imaging (non-accidental injury) and neonatal MDT working is strongly preferred. UK-based training or a formal paediatric fellowship will be advantageous.
Breast Radiology
Posts require hands-on skills in one-stop clinics, image-guided biopsy (core, stereotactic, VAB), wire localisation, and symptomatic and screening breast services. Previous experience in an NHSBSP setting, or training aligned to UK national breast screening standards, is important. Strong communication skills and patient-facing experience are essential.
Interventional Radiology (IR)
We are supporting multiple posts for IR-trained consultants with experience in non-vascular and vascular procedures. Core skills required include nephrostomy, biliary drainage, embolisation, angioplasty, image-guided biopsy, and ablation. Candidates with UK IR fellowships, CIRSE/BSIR membership, and readiness to participate in IR on-call are highly sought after.
We are also regularly supporting posts in:
- Neuroradiology
- MSK Radiology
- GI and Emergency Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine and PET CT

Whether you are joining a major teaching centre or a growing district general hospital, you will benefit from an environment focused on quality, innovation, and clinical collaboration.
What We Offer
