We’re seeking a highly skilled Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join a forward-thinking and supportive team at a well-respected base hospital in Central Western New South Wales. Main Duties:
• Wards & Clinics: You’ll provide anaesthetic services across surgical theatres, an anaesthetic pre-assessment clinic, acute pain management, and obstetric epidural services.
• Patient Base: A varied caseload across general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, and emergency – ideal for anaesthetists who love procedural diversity.
• Team Environment: Work in a collaborative team of consultants, registrars, residents, and interns. Teach, mentor, and support junior doctors and allied health professionals.
• On-Call Rota: Participation in an equitable on-call rota is required, with support available from a well-structured team.
Non-Clinical Time: Yes – actively involved in departmental meetings, clinical audit, M&M reviews, teaching programs, and CPD portfolio maintenance.

• Specialties: Comprehensive services including general surgery, orthopaedics, maternity, emergency, ICU, and paediatrics.

Requirements:
 To apply for this position, you will need:
 • Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or equivalent.
 • Full or eligible specialist registration with AHPRA.
 • Applicants on the specialist pathway via EPIC, AMC, or ANZCA will also be considered.
 • Strong communication and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary team.
 • A desire to contribute to teaching, CPD, and the hospital community.
 • Willingness to relocate and become an integral part of a growing regional health service.
