About the Role:
We are seeking a Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist with expertise in Hepatobiliary (HPB) and Oesophagogastric (OG) cancers. While this is our primary need, we would also welcome applications from Clinical Oncologists with experience in Head & Neck, Upper GI, and NETS.
Job Responsibilities:
The Cancer Centre provides specialist Cancer and Haemato-Oncological care, including complex surgical oncology, to a catchment population of approximately 1.4 million across South West Surrey and Hampshire. Non-surgical oncological treatment is delivered on-site at our modern, newly refurbished Cancer Centre, offering a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality clinical care in your specialty area.
- Working collaboratively with local and regional cancer units and the Surrey Clinical Research Facility.
- Participating in teaching medical students from the University of Surrey Medical School.
- Engaging in clinical research and development activities as appropriate.
- Utilizing cutting-edge treatment techniques including stereotactic ablative radiotherapy, real-time adaptive radiotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy, and mobile community infusion services.
- Contributing to a full range of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and comprehensive Molecular Radiotherapy services, including I-131 for benign and malignant thyroid disease.

Person Specification:
- Fully qualified Consultant Clinical Oncologist with GMC registration.
- Full FRCR
- Specialist expertise in Hepatobiliary and Oesophagogastric cancers (or alternative oncology sub-specialties as indicated).
- Strong commitment to multidisciplinary working and collaborative patient care.
- Interest in research, teaching, and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, patient-focused approach.
