Consultant Breast Radiologist

Join a progressive NHS Trust serving a population across Swindon and Wiltshire, delivering comprehensive breast screening and symptomatic imaging services. The department is equipped with cutting-edge technology - including Hologic mammography units with tomosynthesis, digital screening rooms, SPECT-CT, and mobile screening units - plus a soon-to-launch contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) service and Magseed localisation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality screening and symptomatic breast imaging, including mammogram interpretation, ultrasound, and biopsy procedures
• Attend and contribute to MDT meetings, guiding patient management pathways 
• Support development of the sub-specialty in line with strategic growth plans
• Participate in teaching and continuing medical education for undergraduates and trainees
• Leverage home-reporting setups and flexible working options (consultant on-call coverage weekdays and some weekend hours) 

What You’ll Need

• GMC Registration and, or entry on the Specialist Register (CCT or within 6 months)
• FRCR or equivalent qualification 
• Proven experience in UK breast screening programmes (mammography, screening assessments, ultrasound, biopsy) and preferably CEM or tomosynthesis
• Strong MDT participation, audit, and governance experience
• Demonstrable teaching, service development, and collaborative skills
