Salary Range –  $186,241 -  $251,618

Location –  New South Wales

The Health Service is seeking a passionate Staff Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the growth and development of maternity and gynaecological services in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert assessment and management of patients following evidence-based best practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop maternity and gynaecological services
  • Cover the labour ward on a rotational basis, along with ante-natal and general gynaecology clinics
  • Perform elective and emergency procedures
  • Train and mentor junior medical staff
  • Participate in on-call duties and respond on-site as required
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement and patient safety

Selection Criteria:

  • Registered (or eligible for specialist registration) with the Medical Board of Australia via SIMG or expedited specialist pathway.

Expedited Specialist Pathway (UK): Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), together with a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). 

Expedited Specialist Pathway (Ireland): Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CSCST).
