The team are looking for an experienced individual with previous NHS experience to join their team.
The successful applicant will be joining an enthusiastic, dedicated team who cover a wide range of different specialties and provide general and sub specialist paediatric care.
Main Duties:
As an ST4+ in General Paediatrics and Neonatology you will be expected to:
- Attend ward rounds, out-patient clinics and visit to individual patients as necessary.
- Participate in the ‘Consultant of the week’ system on the children’s ward.
- Assess patients admitted to the paediatric assessment unit.
- Support timely completion of discharge summaries.
- Ensure high quality handover of patients to the on call or day team as appropriate.
- Cover the NICU, post-natal ward and the delivery suite.
- Undertake initial assessment and initiation oof treatment to newly admitted babies.
- Offer advice and support to the maternity staff in the care of newborns, particularly with the aim of avoiding admission to the neonatal unit.
- Undertake practical procedures.
- Contribute to the out of hours overnight on call rota.
The Hospital:
This is a 500-bed hospital which a Paediatric department which serves a child population of around 80,000.

Requirements:
The team are open to applicants from the UK or from overseas and will support you in settling into the new role.

- Full MRCPCH.
- GMC Registration.
- Previous NHS experience is essential for this position.
- OET or IELTS.
- 5+ years of clinical experience.
- Registrar (or equivalent) level experience.
