We are linked with one of the world’s best universities which has helped us have a long track record in research and education, influencing care and treatment. Our Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centre offer services for 84,706 patients a year, around-the-clock. Since there are no paediatric services on-site, only a small percentage of these (2000) are children. We form one of six academic health science centres in the UK.
