An opportunity has arisen in a dynamic and modern Neonatal unit for a senior registrar to join a diverse team of doctors. This post would suit an experienced Neonatologist with recent Level 3 NICU exposure and strong leadership acumen. In return the Trust will offer a permanent contract for a dedicated and long-term staff member.
Main Duties:
As a Specialty Doctor in Neonatology, you will be expected
to engage in:
- General Neonatology with Emergency cover
- Follow up clinics and work in General Neonatal OPD
- Attend critically ill or injured babies
- Contribute to stabilization and transfer of critically ill patients
- Act as a senior voice during NLS
- Audit, research, and development of clinical guidelines
- Antenatal counselling of high-risk pregnancies
- Neonatal follow-up including neurodevelopmental review clinics
The Hospital:
- This is a 525-bed district general hospital providing care to the west midland region.
- This trust provides all typical services associated with a large district hospital including accident & emergency, outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care, and critical care.
- A newly built Neonatal Unit, designated as a Level 2 / Local NNU
- Co-location with the new Labour Suite, Maternity Operating Theatres and Obstetric Wards

Requirements:
To apply for this position, you will need the following:
- Previous NHS experience is Preferred
- Full MRCPCH.
- GMC Registration.
- OET or IELTS.
- 5+ years of clinical experience in Neonatology.
- Recent exposure to a Level 3 NICU.
- Registrar (or equivalent) level experience.
