This Trust’s Emergency Medicine Department is seeking senior experienced doctors to join their collaborative team in the North of England. This post is a great fit for a doctor who wishes to work in a supportive environment and to develop their career. The hospital is one of four specialist sites in this region as well as being a designated Trauma Unit, providing the successful applicant the chance to receive robust mentorship in high quality facilities in this role.

The Job

The post holder will semi-autonomously run assessments of patients under their care, conduct investigations, and document patient information. In addition to this, they would also be expected participate in audits and presentations within the department. With financial and time support from the ED department, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in clinical courses and continue their professional development.

The Location

The hospital is in the beautifully historic countryside in the northwest of England, with fantastic transport connections to the rest of the UK. Located just 5 miles away from Manchester Airport and within reach to some of the biggest UK cities, this area is a great fit for those who want a peaceful environment and to not have to commute far for great amenities. The Trust

The hospital provides a flexible and cooperative working environment within a medium sized department. The successful applicant would be joining a welcoming team which caters for to approximately 90,000 patients a year, with a catchment population of around 350,000.

The Requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • Previous NHS experience
  • 4 years minimum in Emergency Medicine
  • MRCEM desirable OR progressing towards MRCEM
  • Experience of leadership or supervision of different groups
  • Evidence of active participation in audit
  • At least an ALS qualification
