The Job:
The trust is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Emergency
Medicine Doctor to join the department as a Senior Clinical Fellow. This
exciting challenge for an Emergency Medicine Doctor who is keen to be at the
heart of delivering a modern emergency medicine service across resus, majors,
ambulator majors, minor injuries, and paediatrics.
The role consists of a combination of direct clinical care,
clinical education and personal development activities designed to support our
career progression alongside delivery of the department’s service objectives.
There are teaching programmes for all grades of staff and regular Grand Rounds where Consultants and Junior Staff present cases to hospital colleagues and General practitioners.
The Hospital and the Emergency department:
The hospital was originally opened two centuries back and since then has developed into an outstanding infirmary that serves a population of more than 250,000. The hospital has recently heavily invested into the A&E department, and it continues to expand with extensive redevelopment and new builds. The hospital has state-of-the departments such as a Same Day Emergency Care unit and the Emergency department itself is a Level 2 Trauma Unit within the East of England Trauma Network and has full paediatric services, which means the full breadth of Emergency Medicine is on offer. The hospital is well staffed with over 2,500 members of staff and receives strong support from the local community with over 200 volunteers at the hospital. The hospital has state-of-the departments such as a Same Day Emergency Care unit as well as a trauma unit.

The area is one of the most desirable locations to live in the UK as it has the most diverse communities throughout the country, it has beautiful national parks to enjoy and is rich in its history. The area is known for its green landscape and outstanding sceneries. There are many entertainment venues in the town and are located within 2 hours of London and only 30 minutes from an international airport.
Requirements:
- GMC Registration
- ALS up to date
- 3 years postgraduate experience
