Main Duties:
- Wards: General Paediatrics – inpatient ward rounds, Emergency Department consults, and outpatient clinics.
- Patient Types: A wide range of paediatric medical and developmental presentations from infancy to adolescence.
- Team Structure: Work closely with other Staff Specialist Paediatricians, junior medical officers, registrars, allied health, and mental health teams.
- On-Call Rota: Pro rata on-call responsibilities with requirement to respond on site within a reasonable timeframe.
- Non-Clinical Work: Involvement in teaching junior doctors and medical students, contributing to clinical governance activities, audits, research, and service planning.
The Hospital:
- A key regional referral hospital with substantial bed capacity.
- Offers comprehensive services including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Maternity, Mental Health, and Critical Care.
- The Paediatrics department includes outpatient clinics, inpatient beds, and outreach services across the region.

Requirements:
To apply for this position, you will need:
- Full registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
- Experience managing a high-volume outpatient clinic and a broad range of paediatric presentations.
- Demonstrated leadership within multidisciplinary teams and a commitment to teaching and training.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and flexible working arrangements.
- NSW Driver’s Licence (due to regional travel obligations).
