The Post

  • Delivering clinical care and leadership
  • Contributing towards the general radiology workload
  • A wide range of subspecialities can be supported with a particular need in Paediatric Imaging
  • Experience of all full Paediatric age range and be capable of interpreting imaging for non-accidental and age determination
  • Clinical governance and audits
  • Training and Supervision of Junior Radiologists
  • Participate in Mentoring
  • Planning and development of services
  • Dedicated SPA (Service development, Clinical governance, teaching, CME/CPD

Radiology Department

The department provides a comprehensive imaging service to the Trust and Community, both in terms of emergency support for the busy accident and emergency service as well as supporting in patient cute diagnosis and out-patient services. Imaging modalities consistently achieve 2 and 6 week waits and play a major role in the trust achieving 62 days and 18-week treatment targets

  • 3 CT Scanners
  • 3 MRI Scanners
  • Phillips SPECT/CT Gamma Camera
  • 4 ultrasound rooms
  • The hospital has Insignia PACS and a new cross-site PACS system is due to be rolled out in the summer 2023.


Location

A 400-bed, high performing acute district general hospital, committed to providing a caring and safe environment for its patients. The Trust was one of 40 acute hospitals to be named on a HSJ list of organisations that were the best places to work in the NHS in 2015. Located in an English town surrounded by several villages to the North, a country park and a river. Serving a population of approximately 270,000, with over 2500 members of staff. The Trusts has also recently resulted from a merger with a university hospital to form a single NHS Trust. Travel between sites will be required occasionally. With easy access to London (55 miles), the East Midlands and North of England and beyond through rail links and road.
