We are working with a leading NHS Trust to offer an exciting opportunity for two Locum Consultants in Respiratory Medicine. This role is perfect for experienced professionals in respiratory and general medicine. You will be joining a dedicated and dynamic team that is committed to providing high-quality respiratory care to the community, with a focus on teaching and service development.

Role and Responsibilities

The department offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment, and you will be encouraged to engage in both professional development and clinical research projects. While this role is focused on Respiratory Medicine, there is potential to discuss involvement in the general medical rota during the interview process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Respiratory Medicine service across clinics, wards, inpatient and outpatient procedures
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and a professional attitude to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute to achieving clinical and quality targets in partnership with clinical teams, operational managers, and commissioners
  • Provide continuous care for patients throughout their entire clinical journey

The Requirements

Essential criteria:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent experience
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.

Desirable criteria:

  • Masters Degree in an area relevant to Respiratory Medicine
  • PhD or evidence of higher education qualification
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register visa CCT or CESR
