A prestigious Trust in Manchester are looking for a Consultant-level physician in Respiratory Medicine to join their well-reputed team. The Trust has a strong commitment to patient-centric care, research and continuous improvement. The right candidate must have a passion for working with Respiratory Medicine patients and have an appetite for helping junior doctors learn more within the specialty. The role is open to doctors already on the specialist register or those who are aiming to become specialist registered within the next couple of years.
Main Duties:
Provide expert clinical care and assessments for patients with various respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer.
Lead and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases, collaboratively formulate treatment plans, and ensure the holistic care of patients.
Take a proactive role in supervising and mentoring junior clinical staff.
Participate in clinical research activities, including participation in clinical trials and studies taking place in department.
Actively attend and contribute to departmental meetings, audit activities, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.
Play an integral role in the education and training of medical students and junior doctors, nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The hospital is a medium-sized tertiary centre that has an established partnership with a local university. The team are very welcoming and supportive. The hospital has done a lot of international recruitment in the past few years so they’re well set up to provide you with maximum support to get used to working there. Assistance with CESR is offered for those doctors who are not yet specialist registered, you will also be allowed to explore respiratory medicine sub-specialties. The hospital is a well-equipped, modern facility allowing you to provide the highest quality care to your patients.

Requirements:
To apply for this position, you will need the following:
- GMC registration
- Full MRCP
- Previous management experience in a clinical setting
The below is preferred but not essential:
- Specialist registration
- SCE in Respiratory Medicine
