Main Duties:
- To participate and contribute to multidisciplinary team working.
- To offer advice to clinical colleagues, medical staffing, and managerial staff on appropriate matters
- To participate in teaching, examining, and accreditation duties.
- Diagnosing and treating medical conditions specific to older adults.
- Managing complex health issues, chronic diseases, and age-related ailments.
- Conducting comprehensive geriatric assessments to evaluate overall health and functional abilities.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans for elderly patients.
- Addressing cognitive impairments and dementia-related challenges.
- Prescribing and managing medications to ensure appropriate dosages and interactions.
- Providing guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to promote healthy aging.
- Offering support and counselling to patients and their families to address end-of-life care and advanced care planning.
- Conducting research and contributing to advancements in geriatric medicine and healthcare for the elderly.
- Participating in medical education and training programs to enhance the knowledge of healthcare professionals in geriatric care.
- Advocating for the needs and rights of older adults within the healthcare system

Requirements:

- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Full MRCP (or equivalent)
