The Emergency Department are currently seeking highly experienced doctors to join their thriving department in the Midlands. The hospital has recently undergone a key development to expand their department and are looking for doctors seeking a new challenge to support this growth.
This post is perfect for a doctor looking to gain high levels of training and support from a vastly experienced Emergency Medicine team.
The Job
The successful doctor will be provided a clear rota plan which works to an average of around 40 hours per week, with 8.5PA’s of clinical activity divided over direct clinical duties and dealing with non-patient facing duties. The rota will also support 1.5 SPA’s for CPD and a further 0.25SPA may be taken depending on the roles acquired. Duties will include:
- Direct clinical care for critically ill patients who are admitted into the department and require assistance.
- Supervision and training of all staff within the department, including nurses and students within the department.
- Maintain an active involvement in clinical governance and ensuring the department are meeting the national targets.
- Support the development of emergency care across the region, with direct links to the other sites within the trust.

The Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Relevant post graduate qualifications such as the MRCEM & FRCEM qualifications.
- GMC registration in full.
- Completion of either CESR/CCT or to be within 12 months of specialist registration.
